Some Hot Love team members recently embarked on a 5,000+ mile journey around the U.S. to promote the movement and connect with conscious-minded fashion heads. From NY to LA and many points in between, one thing is certain, the eco-conscious movement is alive and well.
The trip began with a stop in Asheville, NC where we checked out the “San Fran” of the east coast. From the picturesque Appalachian mountains, to eclectic downtown scene, we were truly surprised by this cool little town. The pace of life was decidedly slower and everyone seemed just fine with it.
A little known fact is that a large portion of the organic cotton that is grown in the USA actually comes from North Carolina. In fact, some of The Hot Love Movement’s goods are manufactured just south of Asheville. From clothing stores like Spiritex to great eats at The Tupelo Honey Cafe, it’s hard to miss that the folks in Asheville support organic and sustainable living.
When visiting, make sure to check out the following places:
RESTAURANTS: Tupelo Honey Cafe, Laughing Seed Cafe, Rosetta’s Kitchen, Firestorm Cafe
BREWERIES: Highland Brewery, Green Man Brewing, French Broad Brewing, Pisgah Brewing
Overall, while we were only in Asheville for 24 hours, we highly recommend a visit! Stay tuned as the next major stop on our tour of the US is the “Big Easy”…New Orleans!
